English Speaking Congregation

The Protestant Interdenominational English Speaking Congregation is a part of the Chiesa Evangelica Valdese di Torino, the Waldesian Church in Turin.

We are a group of people from all the different continents, and all walks of life.
Who gather to worship the Lord together.
We seek continuity with the language we spoke in our home countries.
We seek continuity in our style of worship, whether we hail from Methodist, Presbyterian, Baptist,  or other churches.
We seek continuity in our music, hence besides contemporary praise songs we sing the hymns of our childhood and youth.
Above all in a foreign culture as is Italy, we seek a sense of belonging…
And of feeling welcomed.

After the service, our family-sized group likes to stay for a bit and have refreshments. This is a good occasion to welcome visitors, chat with old friends and make new ones.
Our congregation is a place of inspiration, where we plan retreats, excursions, anniversary projects.

This year after the Covid pause, we will hold our Annual Book Fair.

Our congregation has always had ministers from English-speaking countries.
And for the last five years Johnson A. Yeboah, who is Ghanaian, has been our Lay Preacher.

The Sunday school, two Sundays a month, is a time of fun for the children, as they learn Bible verses, stories and songs.

The English Speaking group is one of four congregations of the Torino Waldensian (Valdese) Church . We are proud to be a part of the Chiesa Valdese which has a deep historical foundation in Protestantism and social service in Italy, and strong ties to international and ecumenical committees.

Worships Sundays at 10.30 a.m
Via Principe Tommaso 1, Torino
